Charles WIlson

Charles Wilson is one of the most celebrated Sydney based industrial designers. Charles Wilson graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 1991. He designed his first piece for WOODMARK, the Swivel Chair, in 1995. CW1 has been won many awards and honors from the design community, and was later permanently collected by the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.  Wilson went on to design a compact sofa range, which WOODMARK produced and has garnered great international success.

Nowadays, Charles has grown into one of the top freelance product designers in Australia, designing for numerous international brands. With a core value in creating products that endure, its unsurprising that most of his works are still in production today. Along the way, Charles has won numerous awards, including the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award, the Australian Design Award and LaunchPad New Designer of the Year Award.
